EMS confirms availability of new i-MO family products and announces forthcoming enhancements.
EMS is pleased to confirm the availability of two brand new i-MO products:

i-MO 520 - offers all the traditional benefits of the previous generation 500 / 510 series:
- Two data channels (can be same or different mobile networks) - bonded together - typically offering greater bandwidth / performance and improved resilience (2 mobile data networks)
- Provided as a Managed Service - units monitored & supported by EMS
- Supports VPN configuration
- Ruggedised design
- Fileshare and Print Server functionality
- 19" rack mount form factor
Plus:
- Web interface for monitoring and management
- Up to 2 internal hard drives with anti-vibration mounts
- Optimal RAID configuration
- Caching Web Proxy
- Built in wireless modems - eliminating the requirement for external datacards and aerial connectors
- Built in 8 port switch - allowing up to 8 computers to be connected directly to the i-MO device
The 520 will also support recently announced forthcoming modular software upgrades designed to:
- Optimise usable bandwidth over the two data channel connections
- Accelerate network traffic

i-MO 300 - a mini i-MO with a much reduced form factor for applications where space is at a premium and durability is paramount.
The 300 series offers:
- Two bonded mobile data channels
- Provided as a Managed Service - units monitored & supported by EMS
- Supports VPN configuration
- Built in industrial cellular wireless modems
- Reduced form factor - dimensions of just 7" x 8" x 2.5" (17.8 cm x 20.3 cm x 6.4 cm)
Plus:
- 12V or 220V power option - can be powered from a +12V feed or from the mains via a laptop style PSU
- Specifically designed for harsh environments:
No moving parts
Components have improved temperature range (-20°C to +60°C)
Ruggedised antenna connectors (SMA)
- Watchdog timer - main processor is reset in the event of a software failure
- Temperature monitor with auto shutdown / restart
- Logging of events/alarms to NV RAM
- Extensive status and diagnostic information via indicator display
- Web interface for diagnostics and easy configuration
