The Awards, held at London's Grosvenor House Hotel last Thursday evening - 4th October 2007, were a 'who's who' of the UK construction industry, with almost 1,000 guests waiting to find out who had taken the top accolades. The ceremony was presented by Vicki Butler-Henderson from TV’s Fifth Gear.
There was one major award for the IT Industry and this was presented to EMS Limited for it's ground-breaking product, i-MO.
The judging criteria were that the entry had to be able to prove that over a twelve month period, the technology has made an impact on a business by reduced costs, shorter timescales, greater productivity, improved reliability and higher quality over previous methodologies used.
Commenting on our submission, audited independently by Grant Thornton, the judges highlighted that i-MO was an innovative and creative solution to a real problem.

Developing i-MO, a wireless wide area network appliance, has allowed EMS Limited to provide construction firms with vital broadband telecoms access on short duration projects where landlines cannot be installed in time.
Using multiple channels from the same or different cellular networks, i-MO allows instant, cost effective and secure data connectivity at temporary locations.
It provides coverage at all but the most rural locations, with a data rate in excess of 1.5 Mbps and latency of about 150ms. Customers say it is low cost, easy to implement, instant and beats satellite.
